PLASMA SPRAY HYDROXYAPATITE COATINGS

The Hydroxyapatite coating with the longest clinical history. High adhesion strength can be obtained with recommended thickness. High quality double coatings, made with titanium and Air Plasma Spray Opsrovit®, are also available.

Low-crystallinity coating, with higher resorption rate. Remarkable results have been shown in clinical applications.

Typically applied in double-layered coatings: Osprovit® V is a hydroxyapatite coating sprayed under vacuum onto a previously deposited titanium coating.  This application combines the bioactive performance of HAP with the long-term mechanical stability of porous titanium.

Crystallinity ratio, Ca/P rate, Foreign phases, Heavy Metal content and Adhesive Strength are in compliance with ISO 13779 requirements.

A consideravke amount of biological evidence is available to further confirm optimal biocompatibility as well as long-termm clinical efficacy.
